Test tool

Check your whole integration against the contract with the partner-demo tool.

On this page

partner-demo plays the integrator against a real WTN API and checks the contract: status codes, required fields and the { code, title, description } envelope on every refusal. It is the fastest way to know your keys, scopes and campaign are set up correctly before you write app code.

1. Download the config

Open your campaign's Integrate tab in WTN Studio and click Test config. You get partner.config.json with the campaign's public values:

json
{
  "campaignCode": "PLS7Q2",
  "campaignId": "<campaign uuid>",
  "apiBase": "https://api.wtn.live",
  "surveyBase": "https://survey.wtn.live",
  "apiKey": "PASTE_YOUR_API_KEY",
  "launchKeyId": "PASTE_YOUR_LAUNCH_KEY_ID",
  "launchKeySecret": "PASTE_YOUR_LAUNCH_KEY_SECRET",
  "webhookSecret": "PASTE_YOUR_WEBHOOK_SECRET"
}

The file never contains a secret: the four PASTE_YOUR_* values are placeholders for you to fill in locally. Do not commit the filled-in file.

2. Run it

The tool lives in infra/tools/partner-demo/ of the WTN repository; its README lists the options. Your WTN contact can give you a copy.

What to check by hand

  • Webhooks: register an endpoint, then call POST /api/v1/channel/webhooks/<id>/simulate. It sends a signed webhook.test the same way a real event travels.
  • Identity: GET /api/v1/channel/whoami returns the key's scopes and workspaces.
  • Signed launch: GET /api/v1/public/pulse/<code>/access?lt=<token> checks a token without spending it.

The tool never starts a voice or LLM conversation, so it costs nothing.
